NO HOMEWORK WEEKEND - NOVEMBER 8-12
The teachers and administration came together to work on implementing another "No Homework Weekend" over the NJEA Convention weekend, November 8-12. The purpose and goal of this is to give the students some time to relax, travel to visit colleges, spend time with family and friends, and relieve some stress. No homework will be due on November 12, and any assignments due on November 13 should be only one night's worth of work. Please know that the teachers and administration regularly engage in meaningful dialogue on the purpose and value of homework as we work together to provide an exceptional education for our students.

Deadline Wednesday, 11/7     ATTENTION MARKING PERIOD TWO PHYSICAL EDUCATION STUDENTS: OPTION TWO PHYSICAL EDUCATION EXEMPTIONS
If you are planning to elect a PE Option Two for the second marking period, you must do so prior to 3:00 PM on Wednesday, November 7.  Click here to go to Mr. Milde's web page and follow the instructions. If you have any question or concerns, see your PE teacher.

ATTENTION PARENTS/GUARDIANS:  "IF THEY HAD KNOWN" VIEWING
Parents/Guardians: On November 13, 2018 we will be showing the documentary entitled If They Had Known.  All students in the high school have viewed the film either this year or  last year. The film is a powerful documentary spoken By Kids To Kids about the risks of current party culture and was secured from the Clay Soper Memorial Fund through a generous grant by the Municipal Alliance.  Click here to view the trailer.  The message is compelling and it is our hope that the film offers another entry point into the discussions you have with your child about staying safe and healthy.   The film will be shown at 6:30PM, prior to the high school HSA meeting, so you will have time to attend both if you would like to do so.

OFFICES CLOSED
Administrative offices will be closed on Friday, November 9th.

BHS FALL PLAY
Bernards High School (BHS) will present its fall play, "Almost, Maine," at 7 p.m., Friday, Nov. 2; 2 and 7 p.m., Saturday, Nov. 3; and 2 p.m., Sunday, Nov. 4, in the BHS Performing Arts Center (PAC), 25 Olcott Ave., Bernardsville. Picture for a moment, a quirky town in Maine. . .Almost, Maine. It's a town, although not quite a town, full of love struck people who sometimes don't really know how to express that love or deal with a love lost in a way that everyday people would, or do they? Nine scenes revealing a snapshot of nine couple's love stories, some with happy endings and some not so much, will be portrayed during this extraordinary production. Tickets are $5 for students, $10 for senior citizens, and $15 for adults and will be sold at the door at each performance. For additional information, please email bhspacparents@gmail.com.
