Reader Resources

So why do your teachers (and I) encourage you to read?  Because reading exposes you to people and worlds way beyond your own circumstances!  Learn what it was like in the prisons of North Korea, or an Iranian immigrant living in California.  See what it might be like to live on Mars for a year and a half, or how to slay dragonsIt broadens your horizons, encourages empathy and helps you understand other people's perspectives.

Also, like anything else, the more you read, the better you get at it.  You will be exposed to more unknown words and build your vocabulary.  Did you know that a strong vocabulary is the number one indicator of occupational success?

But you may tell me, "I don't like to read..."  Well, maybe you haven't found the right book.  :)
Let me help you with that.  With the form below let me know what you like and what you don't like.  I'll find you something you'll love!  :)

If you have found a book you love, please share it with the rest of us by writing a quick review!
